Tucked inside our walls you’ll find the Bamburgh Walled Garden Café – the perfect spot to slow down and enjoy the moment with a cup of coffee and a slice or something more hearty. Our Café serves scrumptious home made food with a focus on local Northumbrian produce from breakfast to teatime with everything in between.

Our exciting new playground is now open for children of all ages to unleash their inner adventurer. Imagination takes flight in a world designed for daring discovery – climb towering structures, navigate rope bridges and embrace nature in a space that fuels boundless play! Our playground is for Café and Bamburgh Walled Garden takeaway customers only. It is a dog-free area.

Bamburgh Walled Garden has been reimagined into an ever-changing space to reflect the seasons. Spring flowers are starting to peep, new leaves are unfurling and buds are forming. Wander through our sensory garden where there’s all sorts of different textures to touch and feel. Explore the labyrinth or simply take a seat and take in the view. Only food and drink bought from our Café and takeaway can be consumed in the garden and playground. The Garden areas are dog-free spaces.

how to find us
Bamburgh is easily accessible by car and public transport. Parking is available in the Glebe Field opposite the RNLI Grace Darling Museum, in the Council car park and on the street.
From the North: Take the A1 and exit at Adderstone Services. Follow the B1341 for approximately 5 miles to reach Bamburgh.
From the South: Take the A1 and exit at Alnwick. Follow the B1340 for a more scenic coastal route or the B1342 for a slightly quicker journey.
